Maryland Public Television, our local station of PBS, came to film a few segments on our shop. They interviewed Mark Plakotoris the owner and lead builder while showcasing how the most most popular lamp we sell is made. The tension floor lamp Check it out!
Standing nearly 6 ft tall, this floor lamp is hand made from domestically sourced maple and walnut timbers. The three long legs are held by our signature tri-curve design that provides a light yet strong structure. The curves are carefully steam bent to a tight tolerance to insure quality and long lasting beauty.
The entire lamp can be disassembled for shipping and only requires a small hammer to assemble.
The wood is sourced from southern Pennsylvania using responsible harvesting techniques.
Finished with a matte no-VOC hard-wax oil to protect the wood from water spots and stains.
